Commission Based Advertising
The alternative to PPC advertising is commission based (also named: affiliate or cost per acquisition (CPA)), a click on an advert you display only equals revenue if the person you refer purchases something. Luckily you dont have to setup an account with each shop individually that you might like to advertise, you can use a programme that deals with the advertisers, and presents you with a selection of ads to chose from a variety of shops. Note that some of these networks also offer PPC advertising, but the major focus is on commission, hence there inclusion here.
